Have you ever dreamed of how it would be to have someone to bow to your every wish, to grant every desire you express? No conflict, no uncomfortable questions, no one to challenge your motives, simply an immediate positive response when you say “I want…”, like a “genie in the bottle.” If we are honest, we may even come before the Almighty with that mindset, and express to God what we desire and how we think things should be. Is this all there is to our relationship with God? How do we respond when we find that He does not give us everything we pray for in our timing and our way? Our response often reveals what we truly believe about God. In those times we have an opportunity to move the truths we say we believe about God from our head to our hearts.
