She was thoroughly shaken, wondering what was behind a greeting like that. But the angel assured her, “Mary, you have nothing to fear. God has a surprise for you: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son and call his name Jesus.  He will be great, be called ‘Son of the Highest.’  The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David; He will rule Jacob’s house forever— no end, ever, to his kingdom.” Luke 29-33 The Message

wantchristmasWhat Do You Want for Christmas?
by Claire Colvin

As I’ve thought about what I want, for Christmas and for the year ahead, I realized that it’s not something I think about as often as I should.  It can be quite a challenge to put what I want into words.  It takes courage to say it out loud.

What if I admit that I want something and I don’t get it? What happens then?  It is better to pretend I never wanted it in the first place?

MONDAY

Pray for the interactive team
Please take time today to pray for the members of our interactive team, the director, our community leaders, chat leaders, mentors and many other roles that are faithfully filled. Pray for rejuvenation and enjoyment over Christmas and that they would each return with fresh vision to share Christ with others through mentoring, chats, online studies and countless other points of engagement that the interactive team is involved in.

Online Request: Teen & Youth Concern
I am having some money problems and am not sure what I can do to get caught up. I am unable to take out a loan because my credit is being used up by my car loan and student loans. My parents are poor (they just lost their house and are staying with my aunt) and are unable to help me. I have been doing the best that I can by working one job full-time and another one that I just started part time. Besides working 65 hours a week I have also been donating plasma two times a week, which is the maximum that they allow you to do. (fromtodayon.com)

TUESDAY

Pray for the editorial team
Please pray today for our team of staff and volunteers who write, edit and publish content everyday. Over Christmas they will continue to keep the website fresh and engaging. Pray that God will grant them wisdom and creativity in choosing the right content to feature for those who will be looking for hope during the holidays. Ask God to bless the team with quality time with loved ones and a renewed desire to reach out to a lost world.

Online Request: Health & Safety Concern
My brother-in-law has an abscess in his intestines that requires immediate surgery. Please pray for his healing and protection. Also pray for his salvation. (powertochange.com/experience)

WEDNESDAY

Pray for the technical team
Members of our technical team continue to recover from illness and surgery and some of them are already traveling to visit friends and family for the holidays. Please lift them up in prayer and ask God to protect them in their travels, continue to improve their health and provide complete healing.

Online Request: Family & Financial Concern
Please keep me and my husband in your prayers between December 20-29. We are traveling to Costa Rica for a short-term mission trip to help build a brick church, administer medicine, hold VBS for the children and give the kids gifts for Christmas. For some of these children, it will be the only gift they will receive. (Online Mentor)

THURSDAY

Pray for the administrative team
Take time today to pray for all the members of our team who handle administration, finances, training, management and so much more in the behind the scenes work of TruthMedia. Without their faithful involvement we could not do ministry at the pace and the scope that we do. Thank God for them and ask Him to bless them richly during the season as they reflect on the birth of the Savior who is the reason they do what they do.

Online Request: Marriage & Relationship Concern
I have been married for three and a half years and now I feel like I don’t know my husband. We don’t communicate at all. We have suffered financial setbacks and that is a real stress on our marriage. (powertochange.com/)

FRIDAY

Pray for the leadership team
So many decisions to be made, so much wisdom required to lead a team! Please lift up our leadership in your prayers and ask God to grant them His wisdom and a clear vision for the road ahead. With so much responsibility on their shoulders sometimes it is hard to rest so pray that they will each find rest during the Christmas holidays.

Online Request: Spiritual Concern
I am having a hard time forgiving my sister-in-law for something she did about five years ago. I don’t really respect her as a person, and I see her as a wolf in sheep’s clothing, so that doesn’t help the situation. I want to get past this memory and forgive her. I don’t know why this is so hard for me. (powertochange.com/)
