How should Christians seek to live out Jesus’ words when he tells us to “Sell your possessions and give to the poor”? The early church certainly sought to do so. Luke explains in Acts that the early church was “selling their possessions and goods” and “they gave to anyone as he had need.” (Acts 2:45) Does this means Christians cannot have any material possessions at all? Clearly not, since the very next verse notes that they still owned their dwelling places when Luke says that “They broke bread in their homes.” But the question remains: How much is “too much” stuff?

I’m 49. I had my breast removed two years ago. I had chemotherapy, radiotherapy and I’ve been taking anti hormonal therapy for one and a half years. I’m always tired. My heart is not all right because of the medicine. I feel I’m a failure. Life has no meaning. I’m obsessed with sadness and self pity. I’m getting older and older, fatter and fatter. All in all I feel miserable and helpless. I’m unable to take any serious step on my own.

My son is 18 and is getting into things he shouldn’t and hates us because we are poor and cant buy everything for him. He use to not be like this until he met this girl and now he is like a different person he cusses us everyday for something. please pray for him.
We are having financial problems. My husband has been on disability for 10 years due to 2 bouts with cancer. I have now been out of work since May dues to fibramyelgia and osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. We have a 13 year old son and a 17 year old daughter and things are getting very tight. I cannot afford my medication and our bills are getting behind

My husband moved out 3 weeks ago and says he wants a divorce. We have been married for 16 years and have 3 children. This has not only caused a lot of stress to our children and me, but it has made an already bad financial situation worse, which is causing more stress. I am so angry, hurt and confused. I don’t know if I want him back or not. Please pray for us, that God will heal this relationship so that our children do not have their home torn apart. Thank you
Please pray for me i am a married mother of three and work fulltime and often find myself overwhelmed..my husband and i dont ever take time for ourselves everything revolves around the children.. and i feel selfish at times for wanting time to myself and ourselves. Please pray that my situation changes to something more positive and fruitful. I feel unsupported by the universe. My own spiritual practices are faltering and I am finding that I am having a difficult time keeping the faith. I am losing my momentum to continue to do service as I am having a difficult time supporting myself and my daughter and keeping my practice going.
