TM team

TM team

Although we rarely “see” them, we often pray for those who serve with TM in areas outside of chat. Since few on our chat team have met the folks behind the scenes, we thought you might like to see a few of the faces of TruthMedia.  These staff members recently attended a special evening at our staff conference. (Not all of our staff members were available at the time of the photo.) These team members represent those who keep our sites running with content, design, mentoring, programming and technical know-how. We praise God for these faithful servants whose hearts, minds and hands are engaged behind the scenes at TM!

Many of you have been blessed by the Sunday evening chats that Amanda has led over the years so I decided to post a picture of her! It’s so neat to see the face behind the nic. Amanda first got involved with us as a Bible College student and decided to stay on as a chat leader…what a blessing you are to us and to the chatters Amanda!

Well here is the last of our chat hostesses for the christianwomentoday site. By now I think we have faces for all the nics that are presently active on the team! I hope you are enjoying putting faces to the names as much as I am and looking forward to a time this side of heaven when we might actually all meet face to face!! What a day of rejoicing that will be!! Bobbie you have such a sweet spirit and your willingness to jump in at the shortest of notice is a blessing to all of us on the chat team!

This is Sharon, who is actually on staff with the Navigators and who volunteers with us as a chat leader in thelife. I love this picture because it shows me her heart…here she is sitting with her bible open and markers ready to mark it up as she studies!

Purpose Drive Life Chat Leader

Friday, July 28th, 2006

Although Betty is no longer leading the Tuesday/Thursday Purpose Driven Life chats many of you have sat under her teaching and I just wanted to take the opportunity to not only let you ‘see’ her, but also to thank Betty for her faithful chat ministry in thelife over this past 1 1/2 years. We will miss your weekly chat participation but we are thrilled that you will continue to mentor the many new believers that you have led to the Lord in your time in chat! Thank you for sharing your life and ministry with us Betty!Betty_ed.JPG

A couple involved in chat!

Friday, July 28th, 2006

It’s always exciting to see a couple that are involved in ministry which is why I love these two. Warren and Marj are both involved in our Interactive ministry as mentors and study coaches, but also in our chat ministry. Marj has helped to lead our Online Studies, Conversation Peace and Vertically Inclined, and Warren is a regular in our chat room on thelife and helps to lead the Friday chats with Wes. His passion to share the gospel with the lost and his commitment to looking for ways to transition to the gospel are a real encouragement to me!! Thanks to both of you for being involved with TruthMedia!Warren_and_Marge_ed1.JPG

We have male chat leaders too!

Friday, July 28th, 2006

Just when you thought that all our chat leaders were women, here’s a picture to prove otherwise. Meet Wes, aka Stik, who used to be a Major in the Canadian Airforce! Wes likes order and he loves to lead his chats on the basics of the Christian Life from the Ten Basic Steps to Christian Maturity. Wes, what a blessing it is to have you teach these basics of the christian life to the many visitors that come to thelife chat every week! Your love for the Word and for his people, and your great sense of humor are a blessing to our chat team and chatters alike! Wes is also one of our mentors who ministers to people in the military and their families who write in to our websites, and the editor of the soon to be launced website, Military Lives.

Seeing Christ with New Eyes

Thursday, July 27th, 2006

I received this email from Nancy this morning and asked her if I could share it with all of you. Made me think this morning! Hello to All, Steve and I had the opportunity this summer to visit Drumheller, Alberta Canada, to see the Canadian Badlands Passion Play. The play was held in the outdoor badlands setting of dry hills and open spaces. The play itself was very good. But there are a few things I particularly noticed that I would like to share with you….things that made myself think in a different way.

I challenge you to perhaps look with a new perspective…..at God’s plan for us. I have seen several movies about the Passion of our Lord…but seeing a “real live person” play the part of Jesus brought new meaning to me. What struck me most about the entire play was Jesus’ compassion. It drew me in so deeply as I saw him gaze into the sick ones’ eyes…..the care, the profound and observable look of love that He so freely gave and gives to us. I won’t forget….I see God loving us with those eyes of mercy and grace and compassion and love! Wow! The next thing that set my thoughts going was the incredible overwhelming joy that those healed felt! It was so visible..as they beamed with smiles….danced giddily…as they literally jumped with joy from the Lord’s healing touch.

I wondered….how often to we dance with that joy, those of us who are redeemed…who have freedom from hell’s touch…those who have been called by His name…how do we show our delight and joy and love for what He has done for us?

The last visual I was amazed by..was Joseph of Arimathea…..how he stepped beyond his pain and grief and his own needs…to see that Jesus’ body was taken down and readied for burial. He went to Pilate himself to ask….Are we that brave? Are we that willing? Do we go beyond our own needs and plans…to step out for Him?

If you ever get the chance to travel to Canada to see this incredible production…do not hesitate…in fact make your plans around it….For more information go to www.canadianpassionplay.com Be amazed once again at Your Savior and Lord and His Power….as the play ended..the resurrected Jesus ran up the stairs and hill to the very top…outstretched is arms…and with His white robe of purity and righteousness flowing in the breeze….declared in His voice of love and strength….I will be with you always!!! My prayer is that you take this and claim it for your life this day!

Thanks for letting me share!

I look forward to meeting up with you along the road…

Nancy
