I have just finised the training, I think it is great. I do ask that you pray for me as I begin to mentor, that I may always be yielded to the Spirit. I look forward to being God’s tool in the lives of people with questions or in need of spiritual guidence and I look forward to helping them to meet and accept Christ, or rededicate their lives to Him, and start down the path of knowing, growing, and sharing Christ with others.
Evelyn
Evelyn,
Thank you for your comments and your prayer request. I would be more than happy to pray for you and all the online mentors.
Father, thank you for Evelyn and all the mentors. You hear and know her desire to honor you and help others come to a face to face, side by side relationship with you. Father, I pray that you bless the work of her hands as she types the responses to the ones she has been matched with. May she lean on you and not her own understanding. May her own relationship continue to grow and out of that, be able to minister too many. Thank you for her heart of service and I pray that she be encouraged in her spirit as she knows that you are working in and through her. In your precious name, Jesus, Amen.

I just finished the Online Study Coaching module and after submitting my answers for the questions, I did not get to see what the expert response was. I did two exercises in responses and then it completed the course. Is there a way to get the answers and correct this? Thanks!
Congratulations Josh!
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, at this time it is not possible for you to get the answers, however, your answers are being stored. The e-learning is still a work in progress and this feature will be added as well as the pre and post tests in the future. Now that you have completed the lessons, you will receive your login information for ARC.
Blessings!
Hi, I think I finished the second module but it says only 86% completed but I don’t know where I left off. Can someone help?
Hi Gertrude,
This is a technical glitch with some modules and they are working to fix this. To check to see if you finished module 2, or to review any module, log in and click on ‘resume’.
I’m sorry for the confusion.
Blessings!
I AM SO EXCITED…and at the same time realize that the compassion of Christ must shine through my life – my thoughts – my heart because there are SO MANY hurting people for God to use us to minister to. What an honor and privilege that He has chosen ME to be one of his communicators. I PRAY He will work in and through my very being and it will always be “nevertheless, Thy Will be done”.
One question I have is what version – translation is preferred for use? In my personal life, I have quite a few scriptures memorized that are from the LB. I realize it is a paraphrase – would be careful to use it. Isa. 46:4 is an example of one that speaks more directly to me. Thoughts? Marge
I want to subscribe to the comments. Think I did not get the button clicked in time. mh
Hi Marge,
We are very excited about having you on the mentoring team! You are welcome to use the version that you are most comfortable with. I use the LB in my life regularly. I believe the newer translations are actually easier to understand.
Blessings!

I am grateful for the opportunity to take this course. It will be a great help to me with my Certificate in Mentorin course with the Institute of Counselling.
It has also helped to refresh some key elements of my prior training in the area of Prayer Counselling.
Hello Cecilia,
That’s awesome! Thanks for writing in and letting us know.
Blessings!
Dear Terry and Doris,
It was a great e-learning training. Many of my pre-conceived ideas were changed but not all and I know both of you as women of GOD understand that, that we have different style of sharing the gospel of Christ. But I truly have learned so many valuable and important lessons why we can only suggest and not give advice. I thank bro. Warren for specifically clarifying the legality on the issues. I surely do not want to create a problem to the website.
I thought I had many years of training already but GOD is not a stale GOD. HE has something fresh for us every morning like HIM so I must pay attention to HIS instruction to be effective in HIS kingdom. Moses did not see the promise land because he used the old way of producing water for the Israelites. Sometimes I felt I cannot do it anymore. I’m too set in my old ways. I thank Marge for sharing God’s word in Isaiah 46: 4. It made me hopeful.
Terry and Doris, I will try to be a part of this ministry. Maybe the intelligence of these young blood will rubs off on me, lol. Yet GOD says in Zechariah 4:6 NIV- So he (angel) said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel:’Not by might nor by my power, but by my SPIRIT’, says the LORD ALMIGHTY.”
I would like to be changed by HIM for HIS work and for HIS glory. I would like HIM to rule and reign in me all the rest of my life. I would like HIM to find me faithful to HIM. So help me GOD and please pray for me as I pray for each and everyone of you. The reapers are few but truly the harvest are ripe.
I would like to be counted for those in favour to have a chat room for Mentors.
Thank You.
You did an awesome job Doris, thank you. If anyone had worked with you please
convey my thanks to her/him/them too.
God bless
Dear Romelda,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I love what you wrote about keeping current with God. “I thought I had many years of training already but GOD is not a stale GOD. HE has something fresh for us every morning like HIM so I must pay attention to HIS instruction to be effective in HIS kingdom.”
This is so true for all of us and writing this statement, shows that you have both a soft heart towards God and also a teachable spirit. You’re willing to allow the Spirit to lead and guide you. That’s so awesome!
Romelda, your experiences with the Lord is valuable and I believe we all should maintain a Godly humility within us, that allows us to learn from each other, young and old. We all have something to offer, no matter where we are in the journey.
Thank you Father, that you are not a stale God, but refreshing, renewing, alive and involved. Bless the work of Romelda’s hands as she plows through the garden that you have set before her. Planting good seeds along the way, that will grow and produce plenty for your Kingdom. Encourage her today Lord. Continue to lead and guide her along the best pathway for her life. In your precious name I pray, Jesus, Amen.
Blessings!
I am delighted that you made it thru the elearning training Romelda!and it makes all the long hours worthwhile to hear a mentor say that!
I also liked what you said about our God not being a stale God…Amen to that!
I am grateful for the opportunity to take this course. It will be a great help to me with my Certificate in Mentorin course with the Institute of Counsellingand encouraging others in their walk with God.

Janet,
It’s common to have beginner butterflies. I know after you have finished the training, you will feel a lot more confident. We do keep a closer eye on those who are just beginning and I’m available to help you with any questions or concerns.
I’d be more then happy to work with you for the first few emails.
I’m looking forward to having you on the mentoring team!
Blessings!
Hi I made it this far and have really enjoyed this. I am ready to click next and feel my way through the rest of what is ahead.
I think this is really a blessing how wonderful the site is set up and so well done it amazes me the work involved in how it is put together.
I will proceed and see what is next.
God Bless
In His love.
Roselee
Oops just noticed the email had error. It is corrected now. smile.
Roselee, thank you for your comments. I’m thrilled that you are enjoying the training and look forward to working with you as a mentor.
Please send me an email when you have finished the modules.
God Bless You.
I thoughly enjoy, being on the net, but this is more exciting because God has given me the ability to be a mentor to others. and show them the love of Christ. I know the only Jesus people will see/hear/write is me. To gain the world is to loose ones’ life, but to gain Christ, is to gain eternity with Jesus Christ.
Hi June,
Thank you for your comments. It’s wonderful to use the net for God’s purpose. To encourage others and be able to share God’s love and hope with those who are hurting.
Have a wonderful day!
Thank you all for sharing it does help to read how others are doing, or did. This is so encouraging to be allowed to participate, putting my faith in action. I love encouraging others. It’s hard in this negative world; I’m blessed to be an encouragement for others online!
Blessings to all,
Catherine
Hi Catherine,
I agree, it’s a pretty awesome thing to be able to share the gospel and encourage others online. It’s also wonderful having you on the mentoring team.
Just started the mentor training. I popped over here to see what it was. A mentoring chat room might be useful. I don’t know if you’ve implemented this yet – just responding to comments. And I would prefer (like other sites) to have the most recent replies at the top, not at the bottom. I know this can “feel” backwards to some, but you don’t have to scroll all the way down to see the most recent one, and you don’t start reading replies that are months old, unless you want to. So far so good. I’ll likely add additional comments as I progress or complete the on-line modules. God bless.
TIP: Another way to do spell checking on a comment is to copy and paste it into a new message in an email program (like Microsoft Office or Express) and use it’s spell check features. Then you can copy and paste the text back on top of the original message here. Then delete the email message you created, or send it to yourself for your own copy. It’s faster than using Word… and not everyone has Word or is familiar with using it.
I’m mentoring for barely 2 months only and I must say it really feels so great to be a blessing to others as we minister to them. and I’m so blessed that i look forward on getting mails.
However, I would need some inputs on how to open up to someone, I’ve ministered for quite awhile; whom I have sensed on her last email that she has not received Jesus as her savior. I’ve have been replying to a lady’s mail (got 4 replies from her)and that she’s goin thru depression. Although by GOD grace and wisdom, as I shared with her some spiritual thoughts and truths and prayed for her as well; she said she’s now feeling better. My concern now is somehow I’ve sensed that she is not saved.
It’s me again. My apologies I have accidentally clicked the “submit comment”.
Anyways going back, hope you could advise me on to how to approach this situation (encourage the mentoree) to accept Jesus and be saved, since we exchanging mail 4 times already and only at the last email have I sensed that she’s not yet saved.
Looking forward to hear from you.
Thank you very much.
Godbless…

I would send her the link below, asking her to read through it and add that you are looking forward to talking with her about it.

Let me know how it turns out.

Hi Terri,
Thanks a lot for the help. I shall let you know if she sends another email.
It’s such a blessing to be a blessing to other people.
I’ll be keeping in touch.
Godbless.
I am a “newby”. This training is awsome!! Thank you for the leadership and forward thinking of TruthMedia and Powertochange.
Glad you enjoyed it! It’s always good to hear positive comments!!Welcome to the team.
Ok, I have completed the training modules. I have printed the Scripts. Is it possible (or did I miss the process) to also print the “tools”, “links” and “scripture” tabs, including web sites for each?
The biggest key phrase, as a mentor, I learned was: “discipleship without evangelism is just counseling”. That put this whole mentoring process if perspective.
I thought comments #43 and #44 gave me clear examples of the difference between “you should do _____” as opposed to “I (or others) have found that this has worked for them”. A good example of the difference between “Telling” and “Sharing”. A good example of the difference between “directing” and “comming along side.
I just got done with this training and I must say I am very impressed with the way it is all set up. Very informative and a lot of great tools to learn from. I had no idea how extensive this ministry really is, its really quite incredible what God has done with this.
I look foward to a long working/fellowship relationship with this ministry. I pray the Lords blessing on this ministry and that He would empower all who trust in Him, in every way to accomplish what He has placed upon the hearts of us all. In Jesus name..amen
blessings,
Mary
Hi Mary,
I’m thrilled that you enjoyed the e-learning modules and now are ready to begin mentoring! As this is the end of my day here, I will enable you in TMC first thing tomorrow and you can begin receiving emails. I look forward to working with you.
Blessings!
Wow. I found this module challenging. My response to the sample email seems so inadequate. I’m hoping “practice makes perfect”!
Hi Terry. I’m working on module 7 and I’m finding it a bit challenging. I look at the responses that other mentors have given and I’m at a loss for words. My own answers seem so short and inadequate. I’m definitely not a writer. Can you give me any tips?
Hi Denise,
Responding to a bible study doesn’t always need to be wordy. Sometimes the visitor gives a very good answer and as her coach you would affirm her, saying something like “this is a very good answer”
Other times you will be able to give your insight and add to their comments.
Hope this helps.
I am just beginning the module and the 1st one seems to focus on “campus” situations. I am not in a college or any type of campus. Could you please explain how I would go about answering these questions so I can begin.
I apologize for the confusion. You need to select TruthMedia Mentor Training on the left side of the page after logging in.
Here is my response to Debbie’s e-mail in the training module:
Dear Debbie,
God loves you so much and has done everything necessary to establish right relationship between you and Him. He did that through Jesus. You are right in saying that without Christ we would not stand a chance because we have all done wrong in the past, and God is perfect. Christ lived out a perfect life for us and paid for our sins on the cross. With His resurrection, and our faith in what He has done for us, we can live victorious lives in freedom. John 1:12 says that if we believe in Him, we have become children of God. What an amazing promise.
Jesus also promised us a gift, His Spirit (John 14:16-18, 26), to help us live a life pleasing to God (Galatians 5:16). The scriptures exhort us to be filled with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). You need to simply ask to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that God our Father will give us His Holy Spirit if we simply ask in faith (Luke 11:13).
Here is one way you can ask God to help you live a spirit-filled life:
“Dear Father, apart from your grace I am nothing. I cannot please you in my own efforts because I always fall short. I ask you to help me walk in your spirit and that you would fill me with your spirit today. Thank you. I ask this in Jesus name, Amen.”
I hope this has been an encouragement to you and if you have further questions about how to live a victorious Christian life in the Holy Spirit feel free to ask.
Be blessed richly in Christ our Lord,
- Rainier
I have just finished all the lessons assigmed for those wishing to serve as mentors. I know I shall have to return to them on several occasions as there is so much to take in. I have found the lessons very helpful, challenging and extremely clear. I have noticed a few typing errors. I know there is a lot of work goes into these sites which are free and available to us but I did read on a web evangelism site that one should try to eliminate as many errors as possible so that visitors have confidence in the site and those who produce it.
Thanks to all those involved and may the glory all be given to God.
Thank you for your encouraging comments! We are thrilled that you found these modules both helpful and challenging which will enhance your online mentoring experience.
We at TruthMedia do hold to a high standard and work at being careful to present ourselves in a manner that reflects excellence. I couldn’t agree with you more about doing our best to present ourselves and also our parent ministry, Power to Change, with integrity and holding to our high standard of work. Unfortunately at this time TruthMedia does not have the ability to edit the existing platform on which the e-learning training modules are hosted. However, we have made the decision to continue using them because of their effectiveness, despite some typos that we have been made aware of.
I’m looking forward to working with you.
Hi Terri..
i got your mail and am glad to tell you that am learning alot about what it takes to be an effective online mentor..
ive just concluded the module about communication issues.. found the presentation most informative..
will update you about my progress..
Sam
I am honored to become a part of Truth Media Online Prayer Mentors team. I’ve finished up the online training, and know I will avail myself to all the tools given.
I have been seeking the Lord for opportunities to be used in Kingdom Building (outside of the 4 walls) He truly answered my prayer. I pray that I can become an effective team member, helping the hurting and assist in a positive fruitful way for the emails that come across my path. The visionary for this ministryy; May God Bless and Keep you. This is a great tool for the Kingdom of God.
Amen
